Wedding in Mayan country

Gay or not

A wedding or an exchange of vows is without a doubt the moment anyone would want to cherish in an environment of beauty, comfort, calm and intimacy. It is one of those moments in life when one can say, without feeling any guilt, that luxury is crucial.

This is exactly what the El Dorado Casitas Royale of the Karisma Hotel chain on Riviera Maya offers, starting with a glass of champagne, of course.

Calming and enveloping

Whether we choose the suite with the personal infinity pool or a sea-front villa with a Jacuzzi, we are in a 200-room private space for adults only and planned especially to ensure the greatest privacy, while having access to the exclusive advantage of a butler, 24-hour room service, aromatherapy and a choice of pillows.

Gastronomy plays its part

Remarkable: twelve restaurants and sixteen bars with chefs, barmen and waiters with international experience, a fine and sophisticated cuisine, as well as a winning wine list.
The luxury of nature

At El Dorado Casitas Royale, the Naay Spa adheres to the values of the elements of Mother Earth: water, earth, air and fire.

This is reflected in the hydrotherapy, the medicinal herb treatments and the reflexology used to bring therapeutic, relaxing and esthetic benefits to the body and face.

Couples’ massages are given next to the sea using sophisticated local products combining coco oil, chocolate and hazelnut.

On the eve of a wedding, parlors and special care are set aside for the couple in order to protect their serenity while their beauty is being enhanced.

The 1-km private beach nearby also adds to the natural and supernatural atmosphere.

Additional pleasures

Indulge in the senses of taste and smell during tequila tastings, and cuisine and mixology courses can undoubtedly enrich married life even more.

A good balance between the body and soul is brought by yoga, physical fitness and dance is also an important ingredient of life together.

Nautical sports can also be practiced by the more activesingles or couples.

The ceremony

According to the Gay Destination Weddings’ site, in the province of Quintana Roo, in Mexico, same-sex-wedding ceremonies are accepted in hotels, even though they are not legally recognized. However, we would recommend verifying with the selected establishment before booking.

Be that as it may, to take part in a spiritual ceremony guided by a shaman in a traditional temazcal on the site of a hotel could also be inspiring, engaging and memorable.
