This winter, take full advantage of Montréal's nature parks!

It has no less than 50 km of cross-country ski trails, 40 km of snowshoeing trails, 35 km of walking trails, 8 km of trails dedicated to bikes with oversized tires (fatbikes), in addition to a program that is among the most entertaining of those are offered this winter in Montreal's nature parks.

Nature parks form a vast network of protected natural areas spread over the island's territory. To date, there are eight nature parks open to the public.

To get there hassle-free

A shuttle service from the city center will take those interested to three nature parks ten times this winter (Cap-Saint-Jacques, Bois-de-Liesse and Pointe-aux-Prairies) for a low cost.

Parking

Access to the various nature parks is free, but parking is charged ($7.50 for a 2-hour period or $9.50 for the day).

Walks under the stars ($)

The walks under the stars are back. Experience unique moments during evenings in the forest, on foot, on snowshoes or in cross-country skiing in the light of a headlamp.
Services: Patrolled trails, a hot drink, outdoor campfire, headlamps and equipment rental ($).
Cost: $7 per person or $21 for a family (2 adults and 3 children 6 to 17 years old)
Reservations are required in person at the reception chalets or by phone

To ride on the snow (on a fatbike)

A 3.8 km trail at the Cap-Saint-Jacques nature park.
A 4.2 km trail at Pointe-aux-Prairies nature park.
Access to the trails is free. You must have your own bike. There is no rental on site.

Snow Yoga

Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park
An outdoor snow yoga session for everyone.
Bring a yoga mat or a small blanket.
Sundays, February 16 and March 8, 1:30 to 2:15 p.m.

Cost: Free of charge

Outdoor Cardio ($)

Being active is good for the heart, and the environment of nature parks lends themselves perfectly! Each session is a breath of natural energy, allowing you to get in shape, spend time outside and to socialize.

Cross-country skis and snowshoes can be rented in some parks, as well as on sledges, drag mats, children's sleds and crampons for safe walking.
